Today we
went on a day trip to York, a beautiful city only an hour away from
Scarborough.
First, we
visited the National Railway Museum, where we saw some amazing trains,
including the one that holds the record for being the fastest steam engine in
the world (126 m/h, which is over 200 km/h). We also saw a Japanese bullet
train, and the Royal Carriage, amongst others.
Then, we went for a walk along the Walls and Gates of the City, until we reached The Minster (York’s Cathedral).
After
that, we were given free time to have lunch, stroll around the city, and of
course, do some shopping.
